Send us the school names
Tell us which schools and colleges matter. If a detailed calendar is available only inside a student or parent portal, you can provide the downloaded PDF, iCal feed or calendar file—never your login.
The Family Year · 2026–27
We research Pre-K–12 and college calendars, combine public sources with any portal-only calendar you provide, and build one shared family calendar for Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook—with simple setup instructions included.
We research public calendars and review official calendar files supplied by families when schools keep details behind a portal.
See mismatched breaks, travel complications and the windows that actually align.
See the Family Year together with existing family events—or use it as the shared calendar that gets everyone started.
How it works
Tell us which schools and colleges matter. If a detailed calendar is available only inside a student or parent portal, you can provide the downloaded PDF, iCal feed or calendar file—never your login.
We locate the public sources, review any portal-only calendars you provide, then confirm the scope, timing and one-time price before asking for payment.
We deliver a clearly named Family Year calendar and instructions for adding it to Google, Apple or Outlook. Keep it separately named, merge its events into the shared calendar you already use, or make it your family’s first shared calendar. House & Kin never needs access to your account.
What’s included
Every event matters. We build the year’s planning foundation—school dates, breaks, closures, exams, move‑in dates and holidays—into an editable Family Year calendar that works inside the calendar system your family already uses. You can add, edit or supplement it at any time and view it together with all the family events already in your calendar app.
Simple, one-time pricing
We handle the research and assembly. Your family receives one carefully prepared academic year that works with the calendar system it uses—or becomes the shared calendar it needs.

Good questions
Your Family Year calendar works inside the same Google, Apple or Outlook system you already use, so its dates appear alongside your existing family events. You can keep it separately named—which makes the school-year dates easy to show or hide—or follow our instructions to merge its events into your existing shared calendar. If your family does not yet use a shared calendar, the Family Year can become the one that gets you started.
That is common. Your delivery includes instructions for the cleanest shared-calendar setup for your mix of accounts and devices.

List the school when you submit the form. After we confirm the order, you can send the calendar as a downloaded PDF, iCal or ICS feed, or another school-issued file.
We use official public calendars and official school calendar files you supply, as available when your family calendar is prepared. If an institution later changes a published date, the family calendar does not update automatically.
